Alireza Jahanbakhsh has completed a reported £17 million ($22m) move from AZ.

The Iran international - who featured in all three of his country's matches at the World Cup - penned a five-year contract with the Seagulls on Wednesday and is determined to force his way into Chris Hughton's first-team plans.



City sign Claudio Gomes from PSG
Manchester City have completed the signing of Claudio Gomes from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

The 18-year-old has been training with Pep Guardiola's side during their tour of the U.S. after failing to agree a new deal with the French giants after the end of last season.

Fulham land former World Cup Schurrle
Andre Schurrle, a World Cup winner with Germany in 2014, has joined Fulham on loan after falling out of favour at Borussia Dortmund.

The winger sat out Dortmund's International Champions Cup win over Manchester City last week, with the club confirming he was not involved after being "excused due to negotiations with another club".

Davies completes $13.5 million move to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have completed the transfer of Canadian midfielder Alphonso Davies from the Vancouver Whitecaps, formally announcing the move on Wednesday.


Sources tell Goal the transfer is worth a guaranteed $13.5 million (€11.5m/£10m), with performance incentives that could take the deal above $21.5m and includes a 15 per cent sell on clause.




Monaco beat Chelsea to €30m Golovin

Chelsea have been handed a blow in the transfer market as Aleksandr Golovin has opted to move to Monaco rather than Stamford Bridge, with the Russia international set to put pen to paper on Friday.


Golovin's transfer will cost the Ligue 1 outfit €30 million (£26.5m/$35m) up front, Goal understands, with CSKA Moscow in line to receive a percentage of any future sale of the 22-year-old star.

Eusebio Di Francesco has shrugged aside Roma's inability to land Bordeaux winger Malcom, who opted instead to sign for Barcelona in a dramatic late twist.


"I'm not bitter, I'm sorry for how things went but if someone is to arrive then an even stronger player will come," the coach told Sky Sport Italia.


BVB chief: I'd spend €100m to bring Lewy back

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke would be willing to spend €100 million (£88.8m/$116m) to bring Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski back to the club, saying: "We could handle that."


Watzke made it clear he would happily break the club's transfer record to secure the services of one of Europe's top strikers.

And while Everton have previously shown interest, Wolves have also made contact over a loan or permanent deal.

Newcastle activate Schar release clause

Newcastle United are set to secure the services of Fabian Schar from Deportivo La Coruna after activating his release clause, according to Sky Sports.


The Magpies are reported to have met the £3 million clause in the Switzerland international's contract as they look to replace Chancel Mbemba, who recently left the club in order to join Porto.


Bayern squad "too big" - Hoeness

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has stated that the Bundesliga champions will scale back the size of their squad over the coming months as it is “too big”, with a handful of players expected to depart the Allianz Arena by December.


Jerome Boateng has held talks about a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain and midfielder Arturo Vidal has been linked with both Inter Milan and Manchester United.


Another player linked with a departure from Bavaria is Spain international Thiago Alcantara, though Hoeness refused to speculate on the midfielder’s future following rumours of interest from United and Premier League rivals Chelsea.


Iwobi to sign new Arsenal contract

Arsenal attacker Alexi Iwobi has agreed to sign a new five-year contract worth £70,000 a week, reports The Sun.


Iwobi has been discussing a new deal at the Emirates Stadium for several months and has also attracted interest from Serie A side Lazio.


However, uncertainty over the Nigeria international’s future is due to end, with Iwobi expected to sign the deal when Arsenal return from their trip to Singapore, where they are playing International Champions Cup games against Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.




PSG starlet Nsoki rejects contract offer

Paris Saint-Germain starlet Stanley Nsoki has rejected an offer to sign his first professional contract with the club.


The 19-year-old defender has been the focus of transfer interest of two major European sides, though PSG are unwilling to offload the promising youngster to a rival club.


Nsoki has just one year left on his current trainee contract and Goal understands that has informed the club's sporting director, Antero Henrique, that he will not be signing the deal offered to him.





Green to undergo Chelsea medical

Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Rob Green, with the goalkeeper to undergo a medical on Wednesday, reports Sky Sports News.


Green is due to provide back-up to Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero at Stamford Bridge, with the former England keeper available on a free transfer.


The 38-year-old boasts plenty of Premier League experience and is due to sign a one-year deal at Chelsea following his departure from Huddersfield.




Ramsey unsure on new Arsenal deal

Aaron Ramsey has "yet to come to an agreement" with Arsenal over a new contract as he enters the final year of his current deal with the club.


As new Gunners boss Unai Emery prepares his squad for the new season with International Champions Cup matches in Singapore, Ramsey told reporters his future remains uncertain but said talks over a new contract are underway.

Guedes set against Premier League move

PSG winger Goncalo Guedes "wants to play at Valencia", despite a deal having been allegedly agreed with an unnamed Premier League side by his club, reports Cadena Ser.


The Portugal international, who spent last season on loan at Mestalla, has been left out of Thomas Tuchel's travelling party for the International Champions Cup in Singapore.


PSG have apparently finalised a deal with a top-flight English side, but Guedes - who was previously linked with Wolves - looks set to potentially block such a transfer.


Valencia calm on Rodrigo speculation

Valencia remain confident that they will be able to retain the services of Rodrigo, even if Real Madrid launch a late-transfer window bid, according to Marca.


The Champions League holders are seeking a replacement for the departed Cristiano Ronaldo, and are thought to be interested in the Spain international.


But Valencia, who are also wary of potential interest from Napoli and several Premier League clubs, remain calm on their player's future, who has a €120 million (£107m/$140m) release clause in his contract.


Everton seek to seal Digne capture

Everton have sent representatives to Barcelona to finalise the acquisition of Lucas Digne from La Liga champions, reports Sport.


The Catalan club previously rejected an initial offer from the Toffees and refused to sell for anything lower than €16 million (£14m/$19m).


But with a €56m deal for Richarlison wrapped up on Merseyside, Marco Silva looks set to reach an agreement for the France international, who has struggled to earn regular game-time behind Jordi Alba.


Lyon look to swoop on Mina

Barcelona defender also courted by Everton


Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is confident that the lure of Champions League football will be enough to convince Barcelona defender Yerry Mina to join the French club over Everton.


The Toffees have offered the Catalan club €17 million (£15m/$20m) plus add-ons following talks with the Colombia international following his decision to leave in search of regular first-team football.


But Aulas believes that the attraction of playing in Europe's biggest club competition will sway the player into joining the Ligue 1 side.


Douglas primed for Leeds switch

Wolves defender Barry Douglas looks set to head up north and join Championship side Leeds United, according to the Express and Star.


Douglas, who made 14 assists during his side's campaign last season is deemed to be surplus to requirements as the newly-promoted Premier League side look set to bring in Jonny Castro on loan from Atletico Madrid.


Leeds, under new coach Marcelo Bielsa, are yet to make a permanent addition to their squad during this transfer window and look set to part with £5 million, plus add-ons, for the Scotland international.

Palace in Kouyate talks
Crystal Palace are hoping to sign West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, according to Sky Sports News.

Kouyate is expected to be one of the players offloaded by West Ham to raise funds for further new signings following a summer of heavy recruitment under new manager Manuel Pellegrini.

West Ham are reportedly prepared to sell Kouyate for around £10 million ($13m) and Palace are in talks over a deal for the Senegal international.
