Barely 24-hours after Eze Madumere was impeached as the deputy governor of Imo State, the Swearing-In ceremony of his replacement, Calistus Ekenze is underway.
According to a report by Channels TV, the ceremony is taking place at the Sam Mbakwe expanded Exco Chambers, at the Government House in Owerri, the state capital.

The Speaker of the House, Acho Ihim, said the impeachment followed the outcome of a report of a 7-man panel, constituted by the Chief Judge of the state to investigate allegations of gross misconduct.
The new depty governor, Ekenze was nominated by the governor, Rochas Okorocha, after the Speaker read out the nomination letter on the floor of the House immediately after the impeachment.
